England are through to the semi-finals of Euro 2024 after beating Switzerland in dramatic fashion on Saturday evening.

Chelsea fan and England cricket legend Kevin Pietersen weighed in with an interesting opinion about Cole Palmer during the match.

England beat Switzerland this weekend in their quarter-final match, but they needed a penalty shootout to get the job done.

Southgate is still yet to start Chelsea’s Palmer in any match at this Euros tournament. He’s come off the bench as a substitute in the last three consecutive games, though.

The attacker has got some decent minutes in his legs today despite coming on in the 78th-minute, playing the extra half an hour of extra time.

Afterwards, the 22-year-old youngster showed why he’s got the nickname ‘Cold Palmer’ after scoring the first goal in the penalty shootout.

Chelsea’s penalty specialist

Palmer scored nine out of nine penalties in Chelsea colours during his debut season.

Therefore, it’s no surprise to see he stepped up for England under the huge pressure of a shootout in a knockout match.

At the age of 22, he’s absolutely fearless.
