Coronation: Mogaji Eegunjenmi Extols Olubadan’s Virtues, Prays for Long Reign

Mogaji Eegunjenmi of Itutaba, Oje and chairman of Euro Lounge, Suites and Exclusive Bar, Alhaji Adekunle Amidu Busari, has felicitated the 43rd Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Akinloye Ige Iyanda Owolabi Olakulehin I, on his 90th birthday and his forthcoming coronation ceremony and presentation of staff and instrument of office.

Mogaji Busari described the Olubadan as a model in endurance, perseverance and commitment to the uplift of Ibadanland, stating that he has made impact on humanity in the last few decades.

Oba Olakulehin clocks 90 on July 5, while his coronation and presentation of staff and instrument of office will take place a week later on July 12.

Alhaji Busari prayed to God to grant the new Olubadan more years and good health to continue to steer the ship of Ibadanland towards El Dorado and to make his reign filled with tremendous developments and progress for the city.

According to the Euro Lounge boss, Oba Olakulehin’s life offers hope to members of the traditional institution and the people of Ibadanland, as it showed that with the right attitude, loyalty and tenacity, one would attain success.

He said: “On behalf of the Eegunjenmi Family of Itutaba, Oje, Ibadan, I congratulate our father, the Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Akinloye Ige Iyanda Owolabi Olakulehin I, the 43rd Olubadan on the occasion of his 90th birthday and his forthcoming coronation.

“I equally congratulate his immediate family, especially my brother, Omooba Sunbo Owolabi, the Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes, the Olubadan-in-Council, the High Chiefs, Senior Chiefs, Mogajis and Baales as well as the people of the historic city, on witnessing this new dawn.

“I have no doubt in my mind that with Oba Olakulehin, Ibadan will continue make progress, as he will bring his wealth of experience to bear on developing the metropolis.

“Happy birthday, Kabiyesi and congratulations on your coronation.”
