Governor of Abia state, Alex Otti says Corp members who excel in the skills and entrepreneurship programs offered during their service year would be eligible for soft loans to help launch their businesses.

The Governor revealed this at the NYSC swearing-in ceremony for batch B stream 1 corps men in Umunna, Bende.

Corps members, totaling about 1667 from the different states in Nigeria, converged to answer to the clarion call.

The message from the Deputy Governor, Ikechukwu Emetu, who represents the Governor, is one of patriotism and frantic efforts to improve the lives of their host towns.

Other parties want the system to unlock the corps members’ potential for personal and national growth.

At the conclusion of the orientation, they would be assigned to their particular places of service to perform selflessly.
