their love story

Paige and Zoheb met at a wedding in Atlanta, Georgia. Zoheb was living in California and Paige was living in New Jersey. It was an Indian wedding where Zoheb was a groomsman and Paige was a bridesmaid. Eventually, Zoheb moved to New Jersey to live in the same state as Paige. He had the privilege of seeing where Paige grew up, spending time with her childhood friends, and getting to know more about her background. It felt only right that they go to Greenville, where he grew up so she could learn more about his childhood and explore the city. All the while he had been planning to propose. In Downtown Greenville, there is a U bridge that walks over a beautiful river waterfall and overlooks a park. Zoheb had always dreamed of proposing there. Zoheb worked with a photographer who was secretly capturing photos of them walking to the proposal site, as well as collecting drone footage of the big moment. Paige started to see flower petals laid out on the bridge. When she turned around, Zoheb was bent down on one knee and both were crying as she said, "Yes."

the venue

Château de Carsix in Normandy, France was one of those venues you dream about as an American. The venue was actually dropped in our lap by neighbors in our building who got married there themselves. It was one of those serendipitous moments while we were wedding planning when someone just said, "I have the perfect place for you." It truly was! All of our guests were able to stay on-site, there was enough space to host our events inside, outside on the lawn, and in the ballroom.

getting ready

As the soft light filtered in through the windows of their respected rooms at the chateau, Paige and Zoheb put the finishing touches on their vows before donning their ensembles. Paige wore a lovely lace mermaid gown with a subtle pastel pink lining that pulled in the color palette from the day. Her bridesmaids wore a mix of Robin's egg blue dresses including a few prints that pulled in the vibes from the day before. Zoheb brought it once again with a deep blue tux and matching blue velvet loafers. The groomsmen wore varying shades of cool gray suits and pastel blue ties that paired beautifully with the bridesmaids' dresses.

To honor Zoheb's heritage, the celebration started with a traditional Indian ceremony. The rainbow theme was in full force this day with everyone sporting a different rich color and with luxe printed and embroidered textiles as far as the eye could see. The real star of the show though was Zoheb's lavender floral Sherwani!

florals

While the bridal party's outfits were more muted for the secular ceremony, the color palette hinged on floral perfection by Les Bouquets d'Anne-Elise, and they did not disappoint! From the asymmetrical floral arch to the whimsical bouquet, the florals at this wedding were a total dream. We also love that they opted for a centerpiece that was low and long to encourage conversation and emphasize the union of the two families.

With the perfectly trimmed hedges and chateau gate as their backdrop, family and friends gathered on the manicured gravel path. Seated in wooden farm chairs, they watched as the couple exchanged vows and sent them on their way with a rose petal salute.

an open-air reception

Dressed in crisp white tablecloths and dotted with textured blue glasses and pastel florals, three long tables stretched across the country lawn. We love that the Peaches & Cream Weddings repurposed the ground arrangements and arch from the ceremony for the reception decor. Waste not, want not.
