A new chapter in healthcare has been unveiled in Ireland as the country introduces the Digital Health Spine Living Lab for a centralized electronic health records system. Revolutionizing Healthcare The Digital Health Spine Living Lab, developed at Maynooth University, aims to facilitate the sharing and storing of electronic health records nationwide. Over the course of five years, with input from 50 Health Service Executive (HSE) clinicians and social care workers, this innovative platform has come to fruition. Pioneering Technology The HSE has been piloting an electronic health record system based on this Digital Health Spine, particularly to aid marginalized communities such as the Roma and Ukrainian refugees.
