Live: Crews rush to large garage fire as locals told to close windows
Fire fighters are currently battling a large fire that has broken out in Devon this morning (July 4). Five fire engines are at the scene of a commercial fire near Buckfastleigh.
Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service was called to reports of a fire around 9.30am. The fire began in an outbuilding, thought to be a garage workshop.
Local residents have been warned to keep doors and windows closed as fire fighters extinguish the fire.
In a statement, the force said: "We are currently dealing with a large commercial fire in near Buckfastleigh, Devon. There are 5 fire engines and an aerial support ladder in attendance."
The cause of the fire is not known at this time. It is not thought that anyone is trapped or has suffered injuries.

A statement from Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue said:
Fire control received several calls reporting an outbuilding on fire at a commercial property.
Two fire engines were initially sent, however on arrival crews confirmed this building was well alight and requested further assistance. A further 3 fire engines (5 in total), a water bowser and an aerial ladder platform were sent.
This fire is confirmed in a commercial garage used as a workshop.
