Anambra State Assembly Commends Soludo On Oyeagu-Abagana-Nimo Road Project

Anambra State House of Assembly has passed a resolution commending Governor Chukwuma Soludo for the construction of Oyeagu-Abagana-Nimo Road which is ninety-percent complete.

The resolution was passed following a motion presented by the Deputy Majority Leader, Dr. Jude Akpua, during plenary in Awka.

Presenting the motion, Dr. Akpua who represents Njikoka Constituency Two stated that the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as amended entrusted the state with the responsibility of providing adequate facilities to encourage free mobility for the people, goods and services throughout the federation.

Dr. Akpua maintained that the construction of Oyeagu-Abagana-Nimo Road was awarded by Governor Soludo in line with his campaign promises to the people of Njikoka constituency two.

The lawmaker while commending Governor Soludo for his intervention revealed that the road has been neglected by previous administrations, after making several campaign promises.

He stated that the Oyeagu-Abagana-Nimo Road when completed will improve connectivity and foster economic well-being of the people of the area.

Dr. Akpua extolled Governor Soludo for setting standard in road infrastructure, and restoring the hope and confidence of Ndi-Anambra.

Supporting the motion, the Majority Leader, Sir Ikenna Ofodeme, the member representing Njikoka Constituency One, Mr Chidiebere Ibemeka, Engineer Emma Nwafor representing Orumba South Constituency, Mr Patrick Udoba representing Anambra West and Mr Fred Ezenwa representing Onitsha South Constituency one in their separate submissions, described Governor Soludo as a man of his words.

They affirmed that the road construction was solidly executed with good drainage system to control ecological disaster within that area.

The Speaker, Right Honourable Somtochukwu Udeze read out the resolution which was supported through a voice vote by the lawmakers.
