West Ham United attacker Jarrod Bowen has now included one Arsenal player in his pick of a World’s Best XI.

Jarrod Bowen is currently in Germany, representing England at Euro 2024 alongside Arsenal trio Declan Rice, Bukayo Saka, and Aaron Ramsdale.

At both club and international level, Bowen has played alongside and against many world-class players.

When it comes to the best of the best, though, the 27-year-old believes that one Arsenal star belongs in that most elite class.

Jarrod Bowen included Arsenal ace Declan Rice in World XI

In a video posted on the official West Ham United YouTube channel, Bowen was asked to pick a team made up of the best players in the world. The forward named a midfield trio of Jude Bellingham, Kevin de Bruyne, and Rice.

On the latter, he added: “Obviously, I played with Dec for so many years here.”

Rice spent seven seasons in the first team at the London Stadium, sharing a dressing room with Bowen for four of those campaigns, prior to his switch to Arsenal last summer.

Under Mikel Arteta, though, the 25-year-old has taken his game to a whole new level. Last season, Rice proved that he could have an impact at both ends of the pitch for the Gunners, as he achieved career-best figures in terms of goals.

Arteta encouraged Rice to take up a more advanced role for Arsenal, and this decision has helped the player to flourish and show just how good he really is.

The former West Ham United man is now playing alongside Bowen and Bellingham at Euro 2024.

It is fair say that the Three Lions have not lit up the tournament in Germany, though they have secured passage to the quarter-finals.

Rice has been criticised by the English media for his performances in the competition, and is suffering as a result of Gareth Southgate’s tactics.

The negativity of Southgate’s system has hampered Rice, denying him the space that he needs to produce his trademark forward surges.

Despite this, many Arsenal fans feel that Rice was much improved against Slovakia last time out. If England are to go further in this competition, then they will need Rice to keep improving with each passing match.
