In the hustle and bustle of our professional life, focusing on our career, aiming to ‘get ahead’ or building our business, it’s easy to lose sight of what truly matters.

The Meaning of Life

The essence of life goes far beyond material possessions and transient pleasures that really don’t feed our soul. As Billy Joel sang, “We light our lamps for atmosphere and hang our hopes on chandeliers.”  

In our pursuit of success, we often create an illusion of contentment. We invest in our surroundings and appearances but neglect the deeper aspects of our well-being.

This can lead to complacency and a false sense of security.

The lyrics of this song are a gentle nudge to re-evaluate our priorities and ensure that our goals truly are in alignment with what really matters to us.

What Really Matters in Life

Status, money, material possessions are hollow unless there is genuine connection, friendship, and care for one another.

I believe true fulfilment lies in the experiences and relationships that enrich our lives in meaningful ways.

A Blessing in Disguise

As a career coach, I’ve found that many of my clients have told me that going through a redundancy, although traumatic and unwanted at the time, ultimately turned out to be a blessing in disguise.
