Kano leaders unite under PDP ONE FAMILY ahead of 2027 elections

The leaders of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Kano state have come together under a new umbrella called the PDP ONE FAMILY, with the goal of presenting a united front ahead of the upcoming 2027 general elections. 

The group, led by Hon. Abdulrahman Mainasara, aims to reconcile and unite all party members in the state, seeking the cooperation of prominent party elders, including a former governor, Senator Ibrahim Shekarau, former minister, Ambassador Aminu Bashir Wali, and a former senator, Dr. Bello Hayatu Gwarzo.

The friendly meeting organised by the party on Sunday, April 28, served as a platform for Mainasara to lead a delegation to seek the support and cooperation of the party elders. 

The elders expressed their satisfaction with Mainasara’s efforts to unite the party and advised the PDP ONE FAMILY to work towards progress and lasting success for the party.

Speaking to journalists on the sideline of the meeting, Hon. Abdulrahman Mainasara emphasised the organisation’s goal of uniting PDP supporters in Kano state to approach the 2027 general elections with the aim of ensuring good governance and availing the citizens lasting democracy dividends under an atmosphere of peace and tranquility.

The meeting was attended by a leader from the party in Sokoto state, Alhaji Auwalu Ila, Wazirin DinDaye, who declared it a source of pride for all PDP supporters in Kano in particular and Nigeria at large.
