The wet weather didn't stop hundreds of fans from gathering in Newcastle city centre to watch England win a penalty shoot-out.
Supporters gathered in the rain at the fan zone in Times Square to watch The Three Lions beat Switzerland in the third Euro 2024 quarter-final.
Most of those who attended were wearing red and white shirts, hats or flags. Some brought umbrellas with them while others wore ponchos.
Switzerland scored first with 16 minutes to go before Bukayo Saka's strike brought England level. The score remained 1-1 after extra time and the game went to a penalty shoot-out.
England five penalty takers - Cole Palmer, Jude Bellingham, Bukayo Saka, Ivan Toney and Trent Alexander-Arnold all scored.
As Switzerland's first penalty was saved by England goalkeeper Jordan Pickford, England went through to the semi-final of the tournament.
England will now take on either the Netherlands of Turkey in the semi-final in Dortmund, Germany, on Wednesday.
