Marc Cucurella has been one of the best players of this Euro 2024. The Spanish international has become one of Luis de la Fuente's undisputed starters. The full-back has played practically everything - he only rested against Albania and 24 minutes against Georgia - and is expected to be back on the left flank against Germany.

The player spoke to 'Sport' about this clash and other issues: "It will be a very open game, which can be decided by small details. We play very well in these one-on-one matches. We played two good games against important rivals like Croatia and Italy and we must correct where we failed, improve because it will be a demanding game. Hopefully we will win.

"They are the hosts. There will be a lot of people cheering, but we know what we have to do. We've done well so far. If we are at our best, we have a good chance of going through," added the Catalan player.

"I'm happy because at the end of the day being talked about and for good things is always welcome. It's been a bit of a difficult season for me personally, but I've come through very well and now I'm trying to help the team," he added.

Nico Williams was another of the subjects of the interview. The Athletic forward is the object of desire of clubs such as Chelsea and Barcelona, among others. Cucurella, taking advantage of the fact that he shares a dressing room with him, tries to help his team.

"He's a great player, he's bringing out his full potential, it's a source of pride that he's in our team, that he's our teammate and with players like that everything is easier," he commented.

"He would be a great signing, but it all depends on his opinion, I urge him to sign for Chelsea. In the end it all depends on him, he is very young, with a lot of experience and I think he will be a great player," said Cucurella, who also took the opportunity to praise the young Lamine Yamal.
