KANO/Nigeria: The Concerned Kano Progressives (CKP), a political think-tank based in Kano, has pledged unwavering support for the national Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Alhaji Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.

The group asserts its commitment to bolstering Ganduje’s efforts to revitalize the party while urging elected APC representatives to effectively manage their electoral victories.

Issuing a stern warning, the CKP vows to thwart what it deems as “infantile and highly dysfunctional thought-processes” orchestrated by former Kano State Governor, Alhaji Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso. The organization accuses Kwankwaso of engaging in political mischief aimed at undermining the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

According to Alhaji Mohammed Z. Abubakar, National Coordinator of the CKP, Kwankwaso’s behavior reflects a pattern of domineering and dictatorial tendencies, particularly in his interactions within political circles. The group contends that Kwankwaso harbors ambitions of presidency, believing he can sway the national electorate in 2027, and is leveraging his influence to destabilize the APC.

Highlighting the alleged financial backing from the current Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Yusuf, whom they describe as Kwankwaso’s “political stooge,” the CKP accuses Kwankwaso of orchestrating a smear campaign against Ganduje and the APC leadership.

In a call to vigilance, the CKP advises President Tinubu and APC members nationwide to remain alert to Kwankwaso’s machinations. The organization asserts its solidarity with Dr. Ganduje, affirming that attempts to tarnish the reputation of the APC and its leadership will ultimately falter.

As political tensions escalate, the CKP’s steadfast support for Ganduje underscores the fierce dynamics shaping Nigeria’s political landscape ahead of the 2027 elections.
