The Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has poured encomiums on the General Overseer of the Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministries Worldwide, Pastor Lazarus Muoka, for the great work he is doing to expand God’s kingdom on earth.

Sanwo-Olu, who spoke at the biennial crusade of the church with the theme: “…And The Enemies Submitted,” held at the headquarters church in Ijesha, Lagos, described Lord’s Chosen as a living and God-answering church, noting, “And when I see a living church, God-answering church, we know. Brethren, I am telling you as a Christian that this church is a living church. All the testifiers that have come to testify for what God has done in their lives this afternoon have not come here to pay lip service, but have come to tell you that there is God’s presence in this church.”

The governor who was represented by his Chief of Staff, Mr. Tayo Ayinde, appreciated the General Overseer and his members’ unwavering dedication and commitment to the work of the Lord and growth of the church over the years. He also commended all those who travelled from outside Lagos and Nigeria to attend the once in two years programme and asked God to reward their faith.

Sanwo-Olu said: “I express my sincere appreciation to Pastor Lazarus Muoka and all the men of God here for your continuous prayers for our dear state, Lagos State.”

He added: “I would like to extend my greetings and appreciation to the founder/General Overseer of the Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministries, and ministers of God for their unwavering dedication to the work of the Lord and commitment to the growth of this church over the years.”

Commending the theme of the crusade, Sanwo-Olu described it as a powerful declaration of faith that reminds Nigerians that with God’s help the challenges faced by individuals, community and the state would be a thing of the past.

Sanwo-Olu used the opportunity to restate his administration’s commitment to providing and sustaining holistic environment for religious tolerance and harmony in the state.

He said: “The church guides us in prayer and collaborates with us to find solutions to the issues that affect our people. In these uncertain times my spirit is strengthened by the theme of this crusade because it assures me that we serve an awesome God who will not fail us and that the challenges we face in Lagos State and Nigeria would be a thing of the past in the mighty name of Jesus.”

While urging the church to continue to pray for his administration, the state, and Nigeria, Sanwo-Olu said: “The peace, tranquility, development and prosperity, we are experiencing are as a result of your persistent supplication to God for the people and government of this state. Indeed, the prayers of the righteous avail much.”

He urged Christians to be steadfast, and not to backslide even if their prayers were not answered.
