The Boys fans have been sharing some odd theories about the future of The Seven and Vought - but one name keeps cropping up.

Fans of the gritty superhero series The Boys, available on Amazon Prime Video, have taken to social media to dish out some wild guesses over the fate of The Seven as the show progresses.

With an explosive clash between Vought, the dubious company commanding a roster of Supes, and Karl Urban's character Billy Butcher's gang seemingly inevitable, viewers are curious about who's going to be left in charge when the curtains close on the series.

Remarkably, despite his questionable smarts and moral vacuum, quite a few enthusiasts reckon that The Deep, played by Chace Crawford, could unbelievably end up as Vought's leader.

Despite currently appearing powerless within the corporate ranks, there's speculation from certain corners of the fandom that The Deep's trajectory might just spiral upwards unexpectedly.

Over on Reddit, alongside an image of the Supe, @Accomplished_Fig1592 speculated: "I have a feeling at the end everyone would die and this man would be left in charge of Vought." (sic)

The theory resonated with some followers, igniting diverse predictions about the potential narrative twist. Some users suggested that The Deep's ascent could echo real-world business scenarios where the least likely individuals survive chaos to take the helm.

A fan elaborated: "Honestly, it would be one of the most realistic endings. So often in real life when a company has a major crisis and heads roll left and right, it's guys like this that always end up left to steer the ship. I could 100 per cent believe it."

Another chimed in with a humorous agreement, admitting: "I hope this is how it ends, honestly. Would absolutely laugh my a** off if somehow the Deep is the only major member of the Seven to survive coming seasons." (sic)

"It would be so funny if that's how Vought went under, because literally every other candidate for the job was dead/MIA and ended up getting tanked because Deep is the only one left," one viewer chuckled.

"I have been thinking that it could be Ashley but I would also take The Deep even though I want Ashley to live," pondered another fan.

Meanwhile, some viewers are theorising that The Deep could actually be playing a much longer game than anyone realises, secretly wielding more power than he lets on.

One fan speculated with an elaborate theory, saying: "[The Deep] is the most intelligent character in the series, manipulating all these capybarnias, tricking them into thinking he's weak and dumb, making everyone underestimate him so that no one will expect it when he finally strikes. This s*** will be legendary." (sic)

"At some point he realises that people are 70 % water and he starts controlling them," penned another theorist. (sic)

Another suggested a scenario that would see The Deep's powers reach epic proportions, writing: "Honestly, if it occurs to him to give V to a pack of orcas that he can control flying through the sky and shooting lasers out of their eyes like the infected sheep, he could be the most OP superhero ever." (sic)

"Would be a nice theory if he does not have a brain of a fish," jabbed another viewer, sceptical of The Deep's mental prowess. (sic)

The sixth episode of The Boys Season 4, aptly titled Dirty Business, is set to premiere on Thursday, July 4, 2024, exclusively on Amazon Prime Video.
