WAYNESVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) — The North Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating a crash into a building that sent one person to the hospital.

The incident occurred when a full-size pickup truck hit a building on Dellwood Road, injuring a person inside. The driver of the truck was not injured.

Emergency officials say the victim was flown to Mission Hospital for treatment.

The building has been declared unsafe.
