The Super Eagles of Nigeria Drawn in Group D with Benin Republic, Rwanda, and Libya


The highly anticipated draw for the AFCON 2025 qualifiers took place on July 4, 2024, in Johannesburg, South Africa, and Nigeria's Super Eagles have been placed in Group D alongside neighboring Benin Republic, Rwanda, and Libya.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria will face familiar foes in Benin Republic, whom they recently defeated in a World Cup qualifying match in June.

The AFCON 2025 qualifiers will run from September to November 2024, with the top two teams from each group (excluding host nation Morocco's group) securing a coveted spot in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

It's been confirmed that the tournament is scheduled to take place in Morocco from December 21, 2025, to January 18, 2026.

- Group A: Tunisia, Madagascar, Comoros, Gambia

- Group B: Morocco, Gabon, Central Africa Republic, Lesotho

- Group C: Egypt, Cape Verde, Mauritania, Botswana
