Rebecca Sudwarts, a midsize fashion fan, explained that she hadn’t shopped in Quiz for over 15 years, and as a result, was left stunned when she ordered a haul of stunning dresses, all of which looked fabulous on.

The five foot eight woman is a clothing size 16, and took to social media to show her followers her new frocks, leaving many totally stunned.

Posting online, Rebecca held up her Quiz order and said: “You asked for it - you all wanted affordable wedding guest dress options.

“I've been shopping at Quiz - I haven't shopped here for well over 15 years.

“I was so pleasantly surprised at the options that they had, so let's try them on together.

“I’m wearing either a size 16 or large in everything that you see, so they're not overly generous and I managed to get 15% off by downloading the app for my first order - so everything that you see in this haul is under £50.”

Rebecca started off the haul with a gorgeous pleated ombre dress, as she beamed: “We're starting strong! How gorgeous is this fabric?

“Also love the colours, such a lovely length - super flattering halterneck. You would be so comfy in this all night.”

For the next wedding guest dress, Rebecca wore a blue maxi, as she added: “The print could be Marmite - I quite like it though. I like the blues and the oranges.

“Loving the ruffle hem, it's also creating a really nice hourglass figure, without it feeling too tight.

I nipped to Quiz to find a wedding guest dress and was spoiled for choice so I ended up buying two

“Love this cowl neck as well, this is another gorgeous dress.”

For the third dress, Rebecca modelled a strappy, pink floral frock, as she continued: “Love this print.

“Also, the design is so clever. The ruffles are so cleverly placed, hiding my tummy, so it's creating a really nice flattering shape.

“A tad too short for me, but I am 5 foot 8.”

Dos and don’ts of wedding dress codes

By Josie Griffiths, Fabulous deputy editor and bride-to-be.

I’ll never forget the wedding I went to in October 2022 where a guest wore a white dress.

It was ill-fitting, knee length and looked nothing like an actual wedding dress, but that didn’t stop everyone judging her.

The rules on wedding guest outfits - which are annoyingly loads stricter for women than they are for men - are meant to be about “not upstaging the bride”, which in reality is quite hard to do on someone else’s wedding day.

But if you get it wrong as a guest, you do end up looking a bit silly, and in front of loads of people who don’t know you personally.

It’s just not the occasion for your new white dress, as much as online stores love dumping them in the 'wedding guest’ section.

I’d avoid anything too tight/short, and ditch super formal gowns unless the dress code calls for them - you don’t want to be in a full length sequin gown at a smart casual event.

Personally I don’t like black dresses either, it isn’t a funeral.

Otherwise you should be pretty safe. Technically wearing red means you’re in love with the groom, but that’s the kind of rule most people would scoff at nowadays.

I do always check what colour the bridesmaids are in, just to be safe, after the Spanish wedding where I watched them walk down the aisle in the exact same dress I’d had in my Asos shopping basket just weeks earlier.

If in doubt, safest to just double check with the bride… but if you’re already doubting your dress that might be all the answer you need.

Rebecca then modelled a one-shoulder marble-effect dress, as she explained: “I love it! I love the fabric, love the colours, creating a lovely shape.

“It's sort of a midi length on me, which I don't mind, but look at the design detail at the top. How gorgeous is that?”

Rebecca was then equally as impressed with the next dress - a pink cut-out frock - as she admitted: “So this was a bit of a wild card for me because I wasn't sure where the cut out was gonna be, but I think it's simple but effective.

“It's also very flattering. The pleating is going diagonal, creating again, a lovely shape. I love one shoulder as well.”

To finish off the haul, Rebecca “finally” found a dress that she “didn’t like”, as she admitted: “It's not because of the print or the shape, I also really like this neckline, it's because it's open at the back, and you can't wear a bra.

“For that reason, it's a no from me.”

Has Quiz had a reinvention?

QUIZ was founded in 1995 and began trading with three stores in Scotland.

The business model proved to be extremely successful and more stores have since been opened year on year.

Quiz has now grown to include 70 stores in most of the major shopping centres and high streets across the UK.

And if you're looking for wedding guest dresses, Quiz might be just the place for you.

Recently, we saw three fashion fans - one of which wears a size 8, another who is a 16 and a third who wears a size 22 - show off the Quiz dress that is flattering on all body shapes.

Not only this, but shoppers were racing to nab a 'very cute' dress that's perfect for summer - and it's only £34.99.

If red is your colour, you'll need to move fast, as shoppers raved about the 'best dress ever', that's super flattering and has been hailed as a 'frock of dreams'.

And even Stacey Solomon is a fan of Quiz, as earlier this year she rocked a purple sparkly frock, which was on sale for £23.09.

Reflecting on her cheap dresses, Rebecca concluded: “Prices were amazing. The options were incredible.

“Definitely have a look and check them out if you've got a wedding this summer.”

The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @stylingwithrebecca, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has quickly amassed 14,800 views.
