Shirebrook 3-bedroom home being auctioned off from just £50k - but it needs work
A promising fixer-upper house will be auctioned off starting at just £50k. This relatively large terrace home on Central Drive, Shirebrook, near Mansfield, will soon be sold through online auction on Wednesday, July 10.
Estate agent and auctioneer McHugh & Co has explained the guide price, which is the seller’s minimum acceptable price at auction, is currently £50,000. Although this could be changed in the run up to any bids being placed, the current starting price represents a bargain - as long as you've got the money or skills to fix the property up.
The agents are right to suggest the house needs "modernisation" before it can become a real home for the auction winner. McHugh & Co added the "good size plot" was close to amenities in Shirebrook town centre and transport options including Shirebrook train station.
All of the two-storey property's three bedrooms are on its second floor, but have been stripped back and gutted ahead of a needed renovation. On the ground floor there is an entrance hall, living room, dining room, unfitted kitchen and bathroom.
These rooms would also need redecorating and refitting by the building's new owner. The property, which falls within the boundaries of Bolsover District Council, has gardens to the front, side and rear.
The house has an EPC Rating of D, indicating it is not particularly energy efficient, and is within Council Tax band A. Pictures of the property, which would need to be seen as a project by potential buyers, are below.
