A Victorian man has been charged with a number of offences including assault after he allegedly pushed a woman onto train tracks in Melbourne.

A Victorian man has been hit with several charges over a series of incidents including allegedly pushing a woman onto train tracks in Melbourne.

A 64-year-old woman suffered non-life-threatening injuries after she was allegedly pushed onto the tracks at Richmond Station about 3.50pm on Wednesday.

A 54-year-old man from Werribee was arrested by detectives within the Transit Crime Investigation on Thursday morning.

The man was charged with conduct endangering life, conduct endangering serious injury, reckless conduct causing injury and unlawful assault of a female.

He was charged with other offences related to separate incidents including burglary, theft, aggravated burglary, trespass, unlawful assault and make threats to kill.

These related to incidents of an alleged burglary and theft at a business on Droop Street, Footscray on May 10 and another alleged burglary and theft at a Hopkins Street business in Footscray on June 22.

He was also charged over an alleged aggravated burglary at a hotel on City Road, Southbank on 1.30am on Thursday.

He was remanded to appear at Melbourne Magistrate's Court next Friday, July 12.
