Ify, the still grieving daughter of late veteran Nollywood actress and producer, Franca Anaka, has revealed how her famous and talented mother died.

In an exclusive chat with DAYLIGHTng, the 29 year-old daughter of the deceased top actress narrated in an emotion laden voice, how her dear mother fought and finally lost her life to the cold and wicked hands of death at aged 56.

“Mummy was diagnosed with gallstones and kidney cyst in February 2022. She managed it for a while with meds until she couldn’t anymore and decided to agree to a surgery. While preparing for the surgery, further tests showed she had late stage cancer (cholangiocarcinoma), but she passed on December 12, 2023 and was buried on January 26, 2024, in Okwudoh, Njaba LGA, Imostate, where she also hails from,” she told DAYLIGHTng.

Continuing, Ify who is the second daughter among her late mother’s four children-all girls, further disclosed Anaka was born on “20-04-1967’’.

“She was legally separated for her marriage, prior to her death. She was an evangelist before she passed. It was something she loved to do and was called to do. She would preach to people anytime and anywhere. She even opened a YouTube channel: where she shared the gospel. My mother was an incredible woman.”

The deceased thespian starred in several Nollywood movies including: Catastrophe, Naked gods, Rebels, Private Eyes, Finding Goodluck, Daddy Must Obey and many more.

She also wrote and produced ‘Set on Fire,’ in 2005.
