Kimbra is back!

The 34-year-old “Somebody I Used to Know” singer-songwriter is releasing a new album called Idols & Vices (Vol 1), out on September 24.

Ahead of the album, she’s releasing a song a week leading up to the release date.

The first official single, “Stuff I Don’t Need,” features BANKS.

“I wrote this song as a call to the present moment in the face of so much vying for our attention,” says Kimbra. “It’s about realizing what you really want in love and life.”

The upcoming album, a follow-up to 2023′s acclaimed A Reckoning, is described as an exploration “into the increasingly-complex realm of our digital existence, exploring themes of identity invention, toxic celebrity worship, and the allure of online personas.”

It was executive produced by Kimbra and Taylor Graves, with contributions from Dan Edinburg, Tommy Raps, Skrillex, and more, with features including Dawn Richard and DRAM.

The record comes with ’90s anime inspired visuals made by New Zealand animator, Greg Sharp, following 10 characters as they navigate through “an abyss of elaborate fantasies and distractions while seeking moments of awakening,” per the release.
