…..Seeking Governor Sanwo-Olu’s intervention won’t exonerate her.

The Integrity Youth Alliance has called on the UK-based blogger, Dorcas Adeyinka, to show up in Nigeria and answer all the allegations against her, including that of alleged murder.

Responding to the Centre for Human and Socio-Economic Rights (CHSR) call on Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu to intervene in the case of Mrs Dorcas Adeyinka, who was declared wanted by the police, the Secretary General of the Alliance, Danjuma Lamido, said that there is no need for Mrs Dorcas Adeyinka to hide, running from pillar to post.

“We wish to remind her that a criminal offence has no statute bond. Even if it has been 30 years, the case is still pending, so she should show up and clear up the allegations in her interest. Her campaign of calumny will not work as far as this case is concerned.

“We wondered when the Centre for Human and Socio-Economic Rights (CHSR) turned to the Nigeria Police for them to have “carefully reviewed the petition and subsequently unravelled an orchestrated ploy to trample on her rights to means of freedom with regards to false murder allegations, illegal displaying of nude images, conspiracy to indict, and the latest action of the Nigeria Police Force in declaring her wanted without due process.”.

“We would be glad if the Centre for Human and Socio-Economic Rights (CHSR) could tell Nigerians how the Nigeria police should declare a suspect wanted since they claimed that the police have not done that without proper notification or due process, which, as enshrined in the Police Acts, Code of Conduct, and Ethics,

“On a final note, we call on Mrs Dorcas Adeyinka to surrender herself to the Nigeria Police and prove her innocence, as the police believe that every person should be presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty. (Ei incumbit probatio qui dicit, non qui negat.)
