Car salesman reveals the vehicles you should NEVER buy at a dealership

A car salesman did not hold back on the three new vehicles he would never buy from a car dealership.

Keshawn, from the US, has built up a loyal fan base of more than 738,000 on TikTok thanks to his insightful content about motoring.

His latest edition was the three makes and models that will cause drivers the biggest headache.

Viewers were quick to heap on praise for his advice – before also sharing their own experiences.

‘If you wanna save your money, get something else. Let’s get straight to it,’ Keshawn began.

Launching into his recommendations, he dished: ‘First on the list we’ve got this raggedy a** Dodge Hornet.

‘It’s like every other Jeep. It’s known to have electrical problems.

‘People reported their dashes randomly going blank [and that] cruise control never works.

‘The name definitely fits it, because this s**t will string the hell out of your wallet. Save your money – get something else.’

The cost of a brand new Dodge Hornet starts at $32,995 and goes up to $37,995 – depending on the trim and options, according to reports.

Reputable vehicle review site Car and Driver gave the new Dodge Hornet a rating of 7.5 out of 10 but did still identify some issues.

According to the article, the downsides of the vehicle include the following: rear passengers may feel cramped, the cargo space is not as generous as in competing SUVs, and the design bears a striking resemblance to the Alfa Romeo Tonale.

Next up on his list of brand new cars to avoid was the Chevy Malibu, with costs starting at $26,195, saying: ‘This s**t is wack.

A current driver renting one mentioned issues such as erratic behavior in the Apple CarPlay system, malfunctioning automatic lights, and a noticeable lack of power.

‘Like I’m talking about, I can’t even try to merge on the freeway. I’m almost getting smacked and s**t.

‘I’d stay away from it. There’s really no reason to buy it. Get something different. Save your money.’

And it seems that Car and Driver experts agreed, giving the vehicle a score of only six out of 10.

Among the issues listed were ‘subpar interior materials, weak standard features list, middling powertrain.’

Additionally, the third vehicle on the list to avoid is the Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid, which commands a steep starting price of $41,095.

‘I’ve been telling you guys the Chrysler Pacifica is not a good vehicle, but they made a Hybrid and made it even worse,’ the content creator said.

‘The battery stays failing and no one knows if it’s the battery’s issue or if it’s a software issue.

‘You’re better off just driving this car into the Pacific Ocean.  I’d be p**sed if I had all my kids in the car and the battery stopped working.’

But, contrastingly, the new Chrysler Pacifica scored an eight out of 10 from reviewers at Car and Driver.

It focused largely on the plus points which argued that it is ‘the only van that offers both gas and plug-in power… keeps Chrysler brand on the map.’

Keshawn captioned the clip: ‘Avoid these new cars and get something else and save your money.’

And dozens of viewers took to the comments to share their own thoughts.

‘Chevy Malibu is nothing but facts,’ one wrote.

Another shared: ‘I had the Hornet pulled off the dealership showroom floor for me to test drive and it broke down on the salesman and I… as I was driving it. Quickest nope of my life.’

And a third added: ‘Agree on the Chevy Malibu.’

In the clip, which has so far been viewed more than 450,000 times, Keshawn speaks directly to camera from his desk.

He begins: ‘Here’s a list of some brand new cars that I would never buy at the dealership and I don’t recommend for you.
