Katsina Gov. intensifies effort to develop more MSMEs for quick economic growth

The vice president of Nigeria Kashim Shettima has commissioned the Katsina state remodelled industrial development center, shared facility in the state Capital .

The vice president represented by his deputy chief of staff also performed the official flag off of the first Katsina business clinic and MSMEs fair.

Micro Small and Medium Enterprises account for about 49.8 percent of the GDP and 85 percent of total industrial employment in Nigeria.

Katsina state in the last one year has made effort to get more youths. engaged and productive through entrepreneurial development.

The director General Katsina state enterprenureship development agency spoke about the initiative and how far the state intends to go.

The need to make available more capital, capacity building opportunities and infrastructure are areas of collaboration the state is looking forward to strengthen.

The representative of the vice president Kashim Shettima at the event explains that combined efforts to develop agriculture and small businesses will stimulate economic growth and youth development.

The state Governor, Dikko Radda led his guests on a tour of the facility to see the state of the art equipment put in place.
