A DRIVER was left speechless after watching a truck being dragged across the street by a mini tornado.

The astonishing moment was captured by Hunter Luken and a friend while driving past a local car dealership.

Luken’s insane footage was captured as an EF-1 tornado ripped through Jacksonville, Florida’s southside during a storm on Friday, CW affiliate WJXT reported.

“Is it making a tornado right now? Are we watching a tornado form right there,” a person can be heard saying in the video as they drive by a used car lot.

The tornado can then be observed lifting a white Toyota Tacoma before sending it over the median and narrowly avoiding oncoming traffic.

“Oh my gosh!” someone in the car yelled.

According to the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department, no one was hurt by the wayward automobile.

A second person captured the incident from a different angle, showing how many cars were forced to stop and avoid the flipping vehicle.

Ellen Mitchell called the whole ordeal “very scary.”

“I saw a funnel form and I decided to break my phone out and just take a quick video of it. I had never seen a tornado before. I’m a Florida girl born and raised,” Mitchell told the outlet.

“If that tornado was able to do that to a vehicle, if a human being was standing out there, what would happen because as Floridians are constantly on the lookout for hurricanes, but not something that’s quick like that.”

Mitchell stated that the twister had been on the ground for 20 minutes before getting an alert on her phone.

“I feel very fortunate. I mean, it could have taken our lives it could have taken any one of us out or anyone over here. But luckily we’re all here. We’re safe, we’re alive by the grace of God,” she added.

This storm is the latest in several severe weather systems that have battered the US.

Last month, millions of Americans were impacted when severe weather ripped through GeorgiaTexasTennessee, and Alabama.

Thousands of Tallahassee residents were left without power, according to a city outage map.

Several area schools closed, and residents were warned to take cover.

“Dangerous situation unfolding for Tallahassee right now,” the National Weather Service Tallahassee wrote on X, formerly Twitter.

“Seek shelter immediately. Multiple circulations and radar-confirmed tornadoes apparent on radar.”

Tallahassee officials asked people to stay off the roads to help clear the way for first responders.

Meanwhile in Texas, the town of Granbury, about 40 miles southwest of Fort Worth, was slammed with baseball-sized hail.

“It sounded like bombs were hitting the top of the ambulance,” she told the outlet,” first responder Lydia Torres told NBC affiliate KXAS-TV.

“Especially when it hit the top of the windshield, you could see the glass start to shatter everywhere.”

Torres said that she had been dispatched along with her partner when the storm began.
