A Woolworths worker was allegedly held up at knifepoint during a robbery at a Brisbane store.

A 33-year-old man allegedly threatened the worker at Buranda Village on Ipswich Road in Woolloongabba at 8pm on Monday.

He allegedly demanded cash before fleeing the scene.

Queensland Police found the man on nearby O'Keefe Street.

He was charged with armed robbery, stealing and possessing dangerous drugs.

The man is due to face Brisbane Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
