A HOMEOWNER has vented their frustration with their neighbour, who, they claim, keeps parking on their driveway - and even gets friends to do the same.
The dispute has been raging for around two years but the aggrieved resident said they didn't want to kick up too much fuss for fear of "overreacting".
Posting their experience on Reddit in the r/neighboursfromhell thread, the fuming social media user accused the people next door of selfishly hogging parking spaces.
They wrote: "I have a long driveway (fits probably 6-8 cars) and their house has a shorter driveway that maybe only 3-4 cars can fit in.
"When they first moved in they started parking in our driveway behind our cars, parking us in all the time.
"I finally said something to them about parking us in and they stopped and parked in their own driveway."
They added that they were "p***** off" by the irritating habit but that it seemed to die down after they had a word with the neighbour.
However, things soon got worse again, as they went on: "Then they started throwing parties every weekend and their guests were parking right next to our cars in the grass right up against our driveway.
"Now they drive through our driveway to get behind their house and squeeze in between our cars."
Even in the face of this added inconvenience, the homeowner was concerned that they were the one being unreasonable.
They added: "I'm not sure if I should say something or let it go.
"Am I overreacting about a stupid driveway?"
Commenters were quick to reassure them that they were in the right - and suggest some ways to get the last laugh.
One wrote: "Get them towed immediately and put a sign up too if needed."
A second replied: "This is the answer.
"Order a couple of signs on Amazon and contact the local tow company next time anybody has parked in the driveway."
In an update to their story, the original poster thanked other Redditors for reassuring them, saying that they felt "validated".
They now plan to put a fence up to cordon off their driveway and have ordered a set of cameras to help spot anyone breaking the rules.
It comes after a family revealed how they live in an 11ft caravan after losing everything.
