The family of the late actor Junior Pope has issued a statement addressing public concerns over his viral burial posters, specifically regarding the omission of certain details.

In a recent announcement, the family reportedly shared the funeral arrangements for the late actor, setting the burial date for May 17th, 2024, in his hometown of Enugu state.

This disclosure has sparked discussions and reactions across various social media platforms concerning the content of the posters.

Many keen-eyed fans noticed that the obituary poster omitted the term ‘husband’, leading to speculation.

Prior to his passing, Junior Pope was married to Jennifer Awele, and together they have three sons. However, rumors of their separation, after his death circulated recently online.

In response to the circulating burial posters, Junior’s family took to Instagram to clarify that the posters were not authorized by them.

They acknowledged the need for corrections on the poster and requested the public’s assistance in removing the viral burial posters from circulation.

The statement reads;

Dear Junior Pope Fans, I wanted to bring to your attention that the current poster of our late brother Junior Pope displayed needs some corrections.

“The family has requested your assistance in bringing it down. They mentioned that the revised version will be released soon. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation”.

Of the 12 individuals who boarded the ill-fated boat, only seven were rescued alive, while five died, including Junior Pope.
