CHANNEL 5 release a new series - The Night Caller that's set to be a star studded gripping thriller.
The tense four-part series features familiar faces like former Hustle actor Robert Glenister. Here's everything you need to know about the new series.
What is The Night Caller about?
The Night Caller follows the story of a lonely black taxi driver named Tony who has an unhealthy obsession.
Tony was once a well respected teacher but since losing his job he feels like a failure.
The Liverpudlian cabby has no-one to turn to apart from Rosa, and a late-night talk show that Tony listens to while driving around on his night shift.
Tony soon becomes a friend of the show, but his obsession with the host Lawrence - who he eventually meets by chance - is set to turn sour.
Channel 5 describes The Night Caller series as: "a claustrophobic tale about the power of influence those with the loudest voice have over the most vulnerable people".
Who stars in The Night Caller?
The cast features three main characters Tony, Lawrence and Rosa who are no strangers to TV.
Tony
Tony, the black taxi driver from Liverpool is played by Robert Glenister.
Robert Glenister is an English actor. He is best known for his television roles as Ash "Three Socks" Morgan in the crime drama series Hustle and Nicholas Blake in the spy drama series Spooks.
He is also the brother of fellow actor Philip Glenister, who also appeared in the popular BBC series Hustle.
Lawrence
Lawrence, the late night talk host is played by Sean Pertwee.
After his recent stint in the latest series of the hit Netflix thriller YOU, it's clear Sean is no beginner when it comes to gripping thrillers.
The English actor famously narrated Masterchef, but has also starred in Silent Witness, Gotham, The Pale Horse, and Luther. As well as famously narrating Masterchef.
Sean is the son of the late comedy actor Jon Pertwee who was best known for his starring role in Doctor Who in 1963.
Rosa
Rose is played by Suzanne Packer who plays a café worker in The Night Caller.
Many viewers might recognise Suzanne for her role as Tess Bateman in Casualty.
The Welsh actress has also starred in Midsomer Murders, Silent Witness, In My Skin and The ABC Murders.
They cast of three are joined in the series by Grainne Keenan, Martin McDonagh, James Keating, Gary Murray and Kim Daly.
Where is The Night Caller filmed?
The show was filmed in Ireland in 2023.

The first episode of the four part series is set to air on Channel 5 on Sunday 7 at 21:00.
