Former presidential aide, Reno Omokri, has refuted assertions by supporters of the Labour Party presidential candidate, dubbing themselves as Obidients, that Peter Obi has no corruption scandal to his name as a former government official. This comes in the wake of a debunked list of former governors allegedly involved in looting almost three trillion naira over twenty-five years, as reported by the anti-graft agency, EFCC.

Reacting to the jubilation among Obidients following Peter Obi’s absence from the list, Reno Omokri expressed his dissent, suggesting otherwise.”

“Earlier today, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission dismissed as a tissue of lies a so-called list clearing Peter Obi of any corruption case. For the absence of doubt, the EFCC has a grand corruption investigation involving Peter Obi.

If Bola Tinubu put Federal Government money in a bank he owned, Obidients would break the Internet. Yet, Peter Obi put Anambra’s money in his own bank, Fidelity, and personally benefitted. If Obi were a former government official in South Africa, Europe or the Americas, he would be in jail.”
