La Liga club Deportivo Alaves recently approached Barcelona to discuss the possibility of signing 17-year-old defensive sensation Hector Fort.

According to a report by Spanish outlet SPORT, Hector Fort is the subject of interest from Deportivo Alaves. The Basque outfit will look to sign a full-back in the summer transfer window, and they have set their sights on the Barcelona wonderkid. They have contacted the Blaugrana to convey their desire to sign the 17-year-old defensive sensation.

Hector Fort has emerged as the latest highly-rated whizkid to rise in prominence at the Catalan club. A native of Barcelona, he began his youth career at PB Anguera before joining the Blaugrana as a seven-year-old in 2013. The Spaniard spent the subsequent decade rising through the ranks in La Masia.

The 17-year-old made his first-team bow for Barcelona in the early days of the 2023/24 season. While Fort did not establish a foothold in the first-team squad at the Catalan club, he has turned out ten times thus far for them, chipping in with three assists. Meanwhile, the youngster’s progress has not gone unnoticed, capturing the attention of several well-known clubs.

Recent reports have claimed that Paris Saint-Germain recently contacted Barcelona to discuss a possible move for Fort in the summer transfer window. The latest update has revealed an approach from a fellow La Liga club, with Deportivo Alaves submitting an enquiry for the Spanish youth international.
