Turkish giants Fenerbahce have entered the race to sign Super Eagles striker Paul Onuachu this summer, according to widespread reports.

Newly appointed Fenerbahce manager Jose Mourinho, who has begun preseason with the club, seeks to strengthen his squad ahead of next season and views the Nigerian international as a potential candidate to bolster his attack.

Onuachu spent last season on loan at Trabzonspor from Championship side Southampton, scoring 15 goals in 21 league appearances for the Turkish outfit.

Trabzonspor are eager to extend his stay at the club after his impressive loan spell but have yet to reach a new agreement with Southampton.

The Saints have placed an €11m price tag on the Nigerian international.

According to Turkish news outlet Fener Media, Fenerbahce are keen to acquire the services of the lanky striker.
