Harnett County Sheriff's Office arrests man in major drug and weapons bust

The Harnett County Sheriff’s Office performed a search warrant Tuesday leading to the arrest of a man found with large amounts of cash, drugs, and weapons.

The warrant was carried out at the home of Omari Ade Grant, 36, in the 4400 block of Hillmon Grove Road in Cameron.

During the search, drug investigators discovered approximately 2,251.3 grams of cocaine with a value of $450,260 and around 3,703.7 grams of marijuana valued at $19,629. In addition to the narcotics, investigators seized $13,629 in cash, two handguns, two rifles, and a shotgun.

Grant was arrested and charged with Level III trafficking of cocaine and felony possession of marijuana.

His secured bond was set at $35,000.

The investigation included assistance from the Nash County Sheriff’s Office, Moore County Sheriff’s Office, and the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation (NCSBI).
