The Department of Marine Resources (DMR) in Maine is launching a new initiative aimed at enhancing the co-management of marine resources with municipal partners. This training program is designed to provide valuable tools and information to support those involved in managing municipal marine resources.

Comprehensive Training Program
DMR's training sessions will cover a wide range of essential topics including warden hiring, annual reporting, aquaculture leasing process, water quality management, resource conservation, Shellfish Advisory Council (ShAC) responsibilities, and co-management strategies. Additionally, participants will have the opportunity to explore grant possibilities and more.

Who Should Attend
This training program is ideal for individuals engaged in municipal marine resource management such as town clerks, shellfish committee members, harbor masters, and municipal shellfish conservation wardens.

Training Details
The training sessions are scheduled for July 9 in Brunswick (Western), July 17 in Belfast (Central), and July 18 in Machias (Eastern). Interested individuals are required to RSVP by contacting DMR at DMRpublichealthdiv@maine.gov.
