When most guys wear a shirt and tie, most of the time they follow it up with a full suit. Not Winston Duke though. Earlier this week, the Tobagonian-Rwandan actor souped up the combo with the unusual suspects – chief among them a wool hat up-top that amped up the standard beanie.

At a special of screening of The Fall Guy in London, most attendees showed up in classic tailoring (Ryan Gosling arrived on the red carpet in a lovely grey Gucci two-piece, for example). Duke went down a different direction instead. Yes, he had the classic shirt and tie on, but rather than going with a blazer like everyone else, he went for a collared bomber jacket by Ami Paris instead. It's all very understated and all very low-key, but it also introduces an edgy streetwear-esque vibe to the fit.

There were octagonal sunglasses, and down south, he jumped into some grey marl trousers that were neatly-creased across the front. The Us star already measures up at a very impressive 6' 5", and some high-waisted trousers are a solid way to play with proportions. And that mega hat? Unidentified as of now, but it has more structure than a typical beanie and thus feels more at home on a red carpet that still requires a little polish.

He then finished off the look with a pair of white fringed Derby shoes, courtesy of Marni. Duke has been obsessed with the Italian fashion house since the very beginning. As he said on an Instagram post from earlier this year: “Why do I love Marni? Because I believe Marni is an essential element in a complete and well-rounded fashion landscape. I’ve always believed that having a Marni piece in an ensemble makes you stand out.”

Winston Duke: Award-winning actor, very tall man, and now, an advanced menswearhead of the highest order.
