Ampem Darkoa Ladies suffered yet another defeat in the Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League to Prisons Ladies at the Sunyani Coronation Park on Saturday.

The Champions were off to a bright start with a 15th minute opener through Ophelia Serwaa Amponsah but Prisons Ladies staged a remarkable comeback in the second half to claim the three points. Edith Sasakor Zubano scored two quick fire goals in three minutes to power her side to victory. The lanky attacker equalized in the 66th minute before firing home from close range to wrap things up for Prisons Ladies.

Prisons Ladies thus extend their home run to four games without defeat, while Ampem Darkoa Ladies crashed to their 5th defeat of the season.

In Kumasi – Tamale Super Ladies pip Ashtown Ladies 1-0 at the Bantama Kookoase Astroturf with Zeinab Haruna scoring the only goal of the match in the 90th minute.

Meanwhile Supreme Ladies condemned PearlPia Ladies to their 6th defeat of the season following a 2-1 win at the Aliu Mahama Stadium in Tamale.  Mabel Doe Martey opened the scoring for Supreme Ladies in the 18th minute before Faustina Tiwaa added to the tally at the half time whistle. Back from the break, the home side pressed for more goals but goalkeeper for Pearl Pia Ladies Lydia Asagpo denied them until Ibrahim Barikisu pulled one back for the visitors in the 67th minute.
