Ebonyi LG Polls: APC Flags Off Campaign In Ezza North

ABAKALIKI – The All Progressives Congress (APC) on Friday flagged off its campaign for the July 20, 2024, Local Government elections in Ezza North LGA of the State.

The event which took place at Ebiaji, the Headquarters of the Council Area, attracted a mammoth crowd of APC members and supporters.

Governor of Ebonyi State, Rt Hon Bldr Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, represented by his deputy, Princess Patricia Onyemaechi Obila, commended the people of Ezza North for the massive turnout to the event.

The Governor urged the people to embrace APC by ensuring that the party wins overwhelmingly in the area in future elections, especially the forthcoming Local Government elections.

The Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon Moses Ije Odunwa, lauded Ezza North people for the massive turnout and urged them to vote APC all through in the forthcoming Local Government elections.

The State APC Chairman, Chief Stanley Okoro-Emegha, urged the people of the LGA to forgive one another and forge ahead as one APC family, even as he urged them to vote all APC candidates in the upcoming Local Government elections.

He equally thanked the the Council Chairman, Chief Moses Ogodo-Ali Nomeh, and the Stakeholders for what he termed an impressive mobilization.

The Chairman of the occasion, Dr Williams Alo, who is a retired Federal Permanent Secretary, commended the State Governor, Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, for his wisdom and leadership ingenuity in administering the affairs of the State.

Mr Alo disclosed that the elders of the Council had resolved that no one from the Council Area would oppose his reelection election bid, come 2027.

Honourable Anayo Nwonu, the former member representing Ezza North/Ishielu Federal Constituency as well as the former APC chairman in the State, Hon Ben Nwobashi, in their separate speeches commended the Governor for enthroning inclusive governance in the State and assured that there won’t opposition in Ezza North LGA, come 2027 general elections.

Others who spoke including the Honourable Commissioner for Environment, Hon Victor Chukwu; the Ezza North LGA APC chairman and a woman leader, Mrs Nwakpa, all thanked the Governor for giving the State a quality leadership.

The Chairman of Ezza North LGA and APC Chairmanship candidate for the forthcoming Council elections, Chief Moses Ogodo-Ali Nomeh, in his speech thanked the Governor and the People for the opportunity given to him to seek reelection on the platform of the APC.

Ogodo-Ali who is the ALGON Chairman in the State, pledged to redouble his efforts in providing dividends of democracy to the people when re-eleected as the Council Chairman for second term, come July 20, 2024.

The event witnessed the presentation of APC flag to Chief Ogodo-Ali by the Governor who was represented by his deputy.
