The search is on for a 54-year-old man in connection to an overnight homicide in Sarasota.The incident happened near the intersection of Dixie Avenue and 24th Street just after 1 a.m. Thursday.According to the Sarasota Police Department, a man was shot and pronounced dead at the scene.Sarasota detectives believe Kevin Holloway is responsible for the deadly shooting. Sarasota detectives believe Kevin Holloway is responsible for the deadly shooting. He is facing charges of the following:
- Murder
- Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon
- Two counts of aggravated assault
Police say Holloway is considered armed and dangerous. If you see him, you are advised to not approach him and instead call 911.
