Brenda Fassie was a South African icon, popularly known as MaBrrr. She was an international artist, who got to perform for the likes of Nelson Mandela.

When Brenda Fassie Passed on, it came as a shock to the world, but most importantly it came as a loss to the people of South Africa, a legend was lost.

 

Brenda passed on leaving behind only one child, who she had named Bongani Fassie, he currently has a reality show.

Before Brenda passed on, she had come out as gay, which is something that was not very common in those years, but people had to accept her for who she was, because she was a force to be reckoned with, and she loved the attention.

Some of my favourite songs from her were too late for Mama, the iconix- weekend special, wedding day and definitely vuli ndela.
