Kalki 2898 AD released this week, and has emerged as one of the biggest box-office openers of all time in India. According to Hindustan Times, Nag Ashwin’s magnum opus raked in Rs 95 crore across all languages on Day 1. The epic sci-fi movie is set in a post-apocalyptic world and follows rebels whose mission is to save Kalki, lab subject SUM-80’s (Deepika Padukone) unborn child.
