Quintessential filmmaker and cinematographer, Oluyinka Davids, recently earned the Joe R. Biden President’s Lifetime Achievement Awards for lifetime of outstanding service and giving back to local and international communities.

This award is the highest honour in the President’s Volunteer Service Award system.

The President’s Lifetime Achievement Award is for individuals who have volunteered more than 4,000 hours of service to communities across the country.

The Lifetime Achievement Award recognises the service and civic contributions of Americans to their local communities and overall nation.

Aside from being honored with the Presidential recognition, recipients are presented with personalised certificate, an official pin, medallion or a coin and a congratulatory letter from the President of the United States of America.

Elated Davids, who was also honored with a Honorary Doctorate in Humanitarianism from The Global International Alliance University (GIA) for his countless contributions and positive impact in the society through community service, advocacy and philanthropic work, said he feels humbled and honored to be bestowed with such prestigious award.

Davids said: “The President’s Lifetime Achievement Award and Honorary Doctorate in Humanitarianism are both testaments to the commitment to improving lives and promoting social justice. “To me, it is humanity first. Let’s be human together. I encourage each and everyone of us to imbibe the culture of compassion. I appreciate the Almighty God for these great strides and I hope to contribute more to a better society.”
