COLOMBO (News 1st) -

Two officers from Colombo's Crime Division, arrested on bribery charges, were remanded until July 9 by Colombo Additional Magistrate Pavithra Sanjeevani Pathirana.

They were produced before the Magistrate facing a charge of accepting a bribe of Rs. 154,200.

The Additional Magistrate directed the defense counsel, representing the suspects, to request bail before Chief Magistrate Thilina Gamage.

The case will be taken up again on July 9.
