Bella Leep Named Girls Scholar Athlete of the Year at All-World Awards Ceremony

On Thursday night, the Tulsa World’s eighth annual All-World Awards ceremony at the Cox Business Convention Center in downtown Tulsa celebrated the best in high school sports. Over the past seven years, the Tulsa World has awarded more than $170,000 in scholarships to student-athletes at this prestigious event.
Scholar Athlete of the Year Announcement
For the fifth consecutive year, the All-World Awards, sponsored by Bill Knight Automotive, announced the athlete of the year in 20 varsity high school sports. The distinguished lifetime achievement award was presented to Steve Dunlap. The event also recognized the best mascot, band, cheer squad, dance team, and fan base in a competition sponsored by Tulsa Tech.
Girls Scholar Athlete of the Year
Among the exceptional student-athletes recognized was Bella Leep from Sapulpa. Leep, a four-year starter and co-captain of Sapulpa's soccer team, showcased her skills at this year's All-State Game. With a remarkable 4.353 weighted GPA, Leep excelled academically and was named to the Superintendent's Honor Roll, Principal’s Honor Roll, and is a member of the National Honor Society and Key Club. Leep's academic achievements also extended to sports as she was academic all-conference four times. Standing at No. 2 in her class of 310 seniors at SHS, Leep also participated in cross country last fall. Her talent as a defender has earned her a spot to continue her soccer career at Rose State.
