Released on June 14, 2024, in theaters, Vijay Sethupathi’s 50th film Maharaja received immense love from fans and it was a big success at the box office earning over Rs 100 crore, globally.

Now, a month later, the Tamil film has released on OTT and the audience is bowled over by the back-to-back twists, the one of its kind narrative and a perfect screenplay.

The film is about a man named Maharaja who is a barber by profession who approaches police asking them to file a complaint against three masked intruders who attacked him inside his house and stole a dustbin named Lakshmi.

As the narrative unfolds layer by layer, Maharaja catches you off guard with several unexpected and thrilling twists and turns.

Maharaja is undoubtedly amongst the best Indian films of 2024 and you will find yourself going for a rewatch after all the unexpected twists and revelations unfold.

Directed by Nithilan Swaminathan, the film is now being touted as a perfect thriller that may also give the Drishyam franchise a run for its money.
