1. Ime Bishop

Ime Bishop popularly known as Okon is a Nollywood comic actor, master of ceremony, television personality and a comedian. He is well known as one of the most popular Nigerian comic actor in Nollywood. He was born on 15th July 1981 in Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria. He completed both his primary and secondary school education in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State. After which he proceeded to University of Uyo in Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Philosophy. In 2007, he joined the Nigerian movie industry (Nollywood). In 2008, he rose to fame after acting in the Nollywood blockbuster movie “Okon Lagos” a comedy movie which brought him to limelight.

2. Victor Osuagwu

Victor Osuagwu is a Nollywood comic actor, producer, master of ceremony and a television personality. He was born in Ezinifite, Mbaise in Imo State and grew up in Surulere, Lagos State. Victor Osuagwu attended University of Port Harcourt in Rivers State and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Theatre Arts. In 1994, Victor Osuagwu joined the Nigerian movie industry (Nollywood) and acted in his first movie “Evil Passion” a movie that brought him to limelight. The movie “Evil Passion” became a blockbuster in Nigeria with massive acceptance globally due to his outstanding comic role in the movie which earned him the award for Best Comic Actor in Nigeria at the Africa Movie Academy Awards.

3. Sam Loco Efe

Late Sam Loco Efe is a Nollywood comic actor who has been described as the best and most decorated comic actor in Nigeria, popularly known for his use of heavy grammatical words in a comic manner. He was born on 25th December 1945 in Enugu but hails from Benin in Edo state. He lost his father at a very tender age and had to struggle to help his mother in her trade in order to earn income for the family. Sam Loco Efe is one of the most talented actor in Nollywood who uses heavy grammatical words and vocabulary to communicate while acting in movies. Unfortunately, he died on 7th August 2011 at the age of 65 years old on a movie location in his hotel room in Owerri, Imo State. The cause of his death was suspected asthma.

4. John Okafor

John Okafor popularly known as Mr Ibu is a Nollywood comic actor and a television personality known as one of the funniest actor in Nigeria. He gained popularity after featuring in the comedy movie ‘Mr Ibu’. John Okafor is an interesting character to watch always. Due to his humorous nature, his movies are always in high demand. John Okafor is not just only funny in movies but also in real life. He acts mostly in comedy movies and has won several awards.

5. Francis Odega

Francis Odega is a Nollywood comic actor, television personality and a stand-up comedian. He is known for the use of American slangs. He is very creative, talented and funny. He acts mostly in comedy movies where he displays his hilarious character. He was born on 11th June 1970 in Aniocha, Delta State. After completing his primary and secondary school education, Francis Odega attended Ambrose Ali University, Ekpoma in Edo State and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics. He became very popular with his hilarious role in movies. He started his career as a stand-up comedian alongside with Okey Bakassi, I Go Dye and Basketmouth before delving full time into Nollywood as a comic actor.

Osita Iheme popularly known as Paw-paw is a Nollywood comic actor and a motivational speaker. He became famous ever since he acted in the Nollywood comedy movie “Aki Na Ukwa” in 2003, a movie he starred alongside with Chinedu Ikedieze popularly known as Aki. He is originally from Imo State and has won several awards. Osita Iheme is a well-known figure in the entertainment industry and rated as one of the highest paid actor in Nigeria. He is a baby dwarf and act mostly in comedy movies.

7. Chiwetalu Agu

Chiwetalu Agu popularly known as Ichie Ogwu is a Nollywood comic actor, television personality and a comedian. He was born on 27th October 1956 in Amokwe, Udi Town in Enugu State. He attended College of Immaculate Conception (CIC) in Enugu. After which he proceeded to Miinchen College in Enugu and obtains a diploma in Dramatics Arts. His acting career took off immediately in 1981 in an NTA drama where he played the role of Anikwu in Chinua Achebe Things Fall Apart. In 2002, he won the Best Comic Actor in  Nigeria at the Africa Movie Academy Awards. He is always known for using slangs and funny phrase while acting in movies. What amazes most of his viewers is how he combines his well-disciplined life with the comic roles he acts in movies. His use of specific language slang, phrases or clichés in film has made him unique and a household name in Nigeria.

8. Chinedu Ikedieze 

Chinedu Ikedieze popularly known as Aki is a Nollywood comic actor and a television personality. He became famous ever since he acted in the Nollywood comedy movie “Aki Na Ukwa” in 2003, a movie he starred alongside with Osita Iheme popularly known as Paw-paw. He was born on 12th December 1985 in Bende, Abia State. He is best known for playing alongside with Osita Iheme in most of his movies after their breakthrough in the blockbuster movie Aki na Ukwa. He is a baby dwarf and act mostly in comedy movies and sometimes as a child in movies.

9. Charles Inojie

Charles Inojie is a comic actor, movie director, producer, and a television personality. He was born on 4th March 1970 in Urowa, Edo State. After completing his primary and secondary school education, Charles Inojie wanted to study Law in school but later changed his mind in 1992 and decided to pursue a career in acting after discovering his talent. In 1999, he graduated from the University of Port Harcourt in River State with a Bachelors Degree in Dramatic and Theatre Arts. Charles Inojie is very funny and act mostly in comedy movies.

10. Nkem Owoh

Nkem Owoh popularly known as Osuafia is a Nollywood comic actor, producer and a television personality. He was born and raised in Enugu. After his basic education, he graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Illorin in Kwara state. He later returned to Enugu after his graduation from the university to pursue a career in acting. He became very popular after starring in the Nollywood comedy movie “Osuofia in London” a movie which won him the award for Best Comic Actor in Nigeria at the Africa Movie Academy Awards.
