Nigerian musician Gabriel Oche Amanyi, popularly known as, Terry G has stirred up a storm with his recent bold declaration, that he is a secular musician, who sings for the devil.

During a teaser for an upcoming episode of The Honest Bunch Podcast, the singer expressed his views on the role of secular music in the society and it’s supposed inclination towards glorifying the devil rather than God.

He said:

“I am a secular musician. I sing for the devil. We [secular musicians] sing for the devil, we praise the devil. We don’t glorify God.”

He also touched upon Wizkid’s evolving music style, suggesting that it might alienate a significant portion of his Nigerian audience.

“Wizkid music no dey too relate to us. My colleagues from my set, most of us are illiterates,” he said.

Few weeks ago, Terry G announced end of his music career.

The announcement was made through a video shared on social media, where the artist expressed gratitude to his loyal fan base while apologizing for the disappointing news.

In the heartfelt video message, Terry G began by acknowledging and thanking his dedicated fans for their unwavering support throughout the years.

He expressed deep appreciation for the love and loyalty shown to him, emphasizing the profound impact his fans had on his musical journey.

However, the mood quickly shifted as Terry G dropped the bombshell of his exit from the music scene.

In his words;

My people, it’s still on the matter, I remain Apako Master. I’m about to say a big thank you to my fans for staying true all the years, back to back.”

“I really appreciate you all for the amazing years, back to back. Thank you all for the love; I really appreciate.”

“I’m about to make a big announcement, and I know it will be disappointing for many people. I have my personal reasons, and I want to say, I’m quitting music, I no dey do again, I’m done.”

“I really appreciate you guys for staying true to me, for showing me so much love. My fans, thank you. God bless you.”
