While showers mainly hold off for Friday, this weekend we are tracking another wet stretch for many, and temperatures staying mild.

After tracking showers for the 4th for many, Friday looks to be the driest day across this holiday weekend, and even then, the chance for a few scattered showers will linger on. The best chance for showers looks to be across the western Dakotas, however portions of the North Shore could also see sprinkles.

Friday Evening Rain Chances

Then for Saturday, we see the chance for rain returning for many, starting out in the morning with showers across portions of South Dakota, with coverage gradually increasing through the afternoon. Some spots across northern Minnesota may stay drier, but still could see scattered showers.

Saturday Rain Chances

While the sun will peek out from the rainy and cloudy skies at times Saturday, overall temperatures are still staying mild, not getting too hot and remaining in the 70s for much of the region. A few places across southern Minnesota could see temperatures approach 80°, but still struggle with cloudy skies.

Saturday Temperature Outlook

Winds for this weekend will remain rather calm, barely seeing much of a breeze at all throughout most of the Northland. A few spots in the western Dakotas could see a little bit of a breeze at times, but even then not picking up to much more than 5-15 mph.

Calm Winds for Saturday

Sunday is where we see yet another round of rain making it on through the region. After a drier night on Saturday, showers begin Sunday morning across the Red River Valley, and then become widespread throughout most of the area by the afternoon.

Sunday Rain Chances

However, after the system that looks to bring us rain Sunday lingers on into Monday, we are tracking drier weather on the way later on in the week.

Rainy conditions once again are going to keep temperatures cool for most on Sunday. Highs stay in the 70s throughout the Northland, even as we see some drier conditions beginning to move on in across the western Dakotas.

Showers and 70s for Sunday

While the rain will linger on for most, winds do look to remain calm for another day, with light breezes for most of Wisconsin, Minnesota, and the eastern Dakotas. However if you go further west, we are going to track winds beginning to pick up out in the western Dakotas to wrap up the weekend.
