Ali Fazal and Richa Chadha are considered as some of the coolest couples in Bollywood by their fans. They share several photos and fun videos on social media and their fans adore them. The couple has now posted a hilarious video on Instagram in which they have shown a crossover between Ali's character from 'Mirzapur' Guddu Bhaiya and Richa Chadha's Bholi Punjaban, a character from 'Fukrey'.
Sharing the video, Richa wrote on Instagram, "GUDDU x BHOLI… SUNDAY done right !"
In an interview with India Today, Ali talked about the popularity of 'Mirzapur' and said, "When it (Mirzapur) first came out, I never knew it would get this famous. But, I knew that this form of storytelling would work, and I think it was one of those few shows with such a plotline. Because I had seen it in the West and have seen it work, hence, I was pretty sure that if the story is done right, there’s going to be an audience for it because then it was a different medium that is catching up.”
Talking about the new season, he added, "Season 3 was challenging because we had this constant thing going that 'will the next season work?' I can’t think of (any other series)...maybe 'Peaky Blinders'. I'm not comparing ourselves to that, but I'm saying because of them coming out with so many seasons, so then, also be mindful that you have to keep up with the world, and characters. I think that’s the challenge we focus on."
'Mirzapur Season 3' is streaming on Prime Video. The series also stars Pankaj Tripathi, Shweta Tripathi Sharma, Rasika Dugal, Vijay Varma, Isha Talwar, Anjumm Shharma, Priyanshu Painyuli, Harshita Shekhar Gaur, Rajesh Tailang, Sheeba Chadha, Meghna Malik and Manu Rishi Chadha.
On the work front, Ali Fazal will next star in 'Lahore 1947' alongside Sunny Deol and Preity Zinta. Announcing the movie, the official Instagram handle of Aamir Khan Productions wrote, “I, and the entire team at AKP, are most excited and happy to announce our next, starring Sunny Deol, directed by Raj Kumar Santoshi, titled Lahore, 1947. We look forward to collaborating with the immensely talented Sunny, and one of my favourite directors Raj Santoshi. The journey we have embarked on promises to be the most enriching. Richa Chadha was last seen in the web series 'Heeramandi' alongside Manisha Koirala, Aditi Rao Hydari, Sonakshi Sinha, Sharmin Sehgal and Sanjeeda Shaikh in the lead roles with Taha Shah Badussha, Fardeen Khan, Adhyayan Suman, Shruti Sharma, Farida Jalal, Pratibha Ranta and Jason Shah in the pivotal roles.
