Gorakhpur Power Cut:  The rural areas of Uttar Pradesh's Gorakhpur will be facing a six-hour electricity cut daily till July 31. The order has been issued by the Superintendent Engineer of System Control of the Uttar Pradesh State Load Dispatch Center (UP SLDC).

It is to be noted that the district of Gorakhpur enjoyed a 24-hour uninterrupted electricity supply since 2017.

According to engineers, this was the first time that such an order was issued in the district. However, the scheduled power cut has not yet begun. Usually, in rural areas, a four to six-hour power cut is a common scenario due to local disturbances.

UP's Pipraich witnesses a 10 to 14-hour power cut daily due to faults at poles in various places. Meanwhile, villagers in Gorakhpur are upset about the new order of daily scheduled power cuts.

There was no electricity in the Belipar area for four hours on Tuesday.

In the areas connected to Pipraich sub-centre, there is continuous power cut for hours every day.

Power outages occurred in the Belghat region between 8 AM and 3 PM. Power outages have caused problems for consumers in Majhgawan, Bansgaon, Harpur Budhat, and surrounding areas.

The control station in Sarnath, which divides Gorakhpur district's rural sections into two portions, has issued instructions for a six-hour power outage. First part: 7 AM to 10 AM, 12:30 PM to 3:30 PM.

The second phase runs from 4:55 AM to 7:55 AM and from 4 PM. A letter has arrived requesting six hours of reduction in rural regions.
